DOB 3/17/1946 Charleston, WV
Alameda resident 1962 to present.
Married to Teddy Tabor 35 years.
One daughter, one son, 3 grandchildren.
Son of a Naval Flight Surgeon.  Oldest of 6 children.

Undergraduate work at College of San Mateo and UC Berkeley.
Postgraduate work in protein biochemistry at CSU Hayward.
1977-1994 Protein Biochemistry Researcher
1994-1997 UOP Dental School

After postgraduate school I began work in the biochemistry
field working first in nutritional research and, later, as an
independent consultant in analytical methods development.  I
then worked for a start-up biotech company (now Berlex
Bioscience) involved in the development of the clot-dissolving
drug TPA, among others.  I next worked for Applied
Biosystems, a company that develops technology and materials
for biotechnology research.  After 17 years of biochemistry and
genetic engineering , I entered UOP dental school as the oldest
student in the school’s 100 year history, a fact communicated to
me by Dr. Arthur Dugoni, dean of the school.  Following
graduation, I purchased a solo dental practice in my home town
of Alameda where I have practiced for 8 years.

I enjoy being more a part of the community than I was before
dental school.  I am a volunteer for Alameda Civic Light Opera
as well as other community organizations.
